BOY … A book about the pursuit of a passion - personal and professional - to elevate Black boys in America to new heights of achievement, fulfillment, and contribution. A story of conviction from a man who knows the greatness that lives inside our boys and who refuses to accept anything less.

About Neil Phillips
Father. Educator. Speaker.
Neil is a devoted professional whose leadership career has spanned elite private schools, a public Title I charter school, and the highest-visibility corner of corporate DEI. A Harvard graduate and former professional basketball player, he has spent over three decades building and contributing to spaces where Black boys are expected to thrive.
Neil co-founded and led Visible Men Academy, an all-boys Title I charter school in Bradenton, Florida. He served as Chief Diversity Officer of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association / Golden Globes during a defining moment for the organization. He has a long history of Board participation - corporate as well as non-profit - including the Golden Globes Membership Board, Checkers and Rally's Restaurants, and Children's Literacy Initiative.
Neil founded BOY collective as a space to share his passion for elevating Black boys in America. He is dedicated to celebrating the brilliance and beauty of Black boys and those who love and care for them.
Neil is a proud father of two boys - Reece and Blair - now young men, who inspire him every day.
